How do I open an additional Rocket Dollar Account?

Why would I need another IRA?

Many customers at Rocket Dollar open an additional IRA to intake both Traditional "Pre-Tax" or Roth "Post Tax" dollars.  Solo 401(k) customers often open a Roth IRA, as Roth IRAs cannot be rolled into Solo 401(k)s. You can review the IRS rollover chart to see if your account can take funds you wish to move to Rocket Dollar or if you would need to open another to achieve your goals. For example, SEP IRAs can be rolled into a Traditional IRA.

Can I open another account for my child?

Yes, you can open additional accounts for a child. After creating the additional account please contact our support team so our team can note which accounts are specifically for your child.

Keep in mind that income is needed for a child to qualify for an IRA. The Roth IRA is the most common account opened for a child.

What about for my spouse?

 You will have to log out. Your spouse should have their mobile phone number input at signup, Families can ask our support team for an authorized contact form so that they can work together or talk about key account information while the other is absent.

1. Login to app.rocketdollar.com/login
2. Click “open new account”
3. Review and confirm your information. Update any old IDs. Please note that you can only add a new account for yourself, if you plan on adding your spouse or of age child (over 18) you will need to start from scratch with their own login and mobile number. An underage child can be created under your own account, and an additional account.
4. Choose the next additional account you intend to open. You can review the IRS rollover chart HERE if you need to check if your current account can already intake funds you wish to move to Rocket Dollar. 
5. Purchase the account. You can input any referral code at checkout.
6. Fulfillment will begin with our support team. Benefits and timing of fulfillment will depend on if you selected a Silver or Gold Account.

At the bottom of your dashboard, after logging in through app.rocketdollar.com/login you can add a new account.

Review and confirm your information. Please note that you can only add a new account for yourself. If you plan on adding your spouse or child, they would need to start from scratch and create an account for themselves.
